About Us
Hiring tools built by someone who gets it
Candyfloss is a talent intelligence platform built specifically for technical recruiting. 205M+ profiles, salary estimates, GitHub activity, and job change signals. All in one place.
Our Story
I'm Sara. I've worked at a bunch of startups over the years, mostly in QA and software engineering. At every single one, I watched engineering teams struggle to hire. The tools they had were either built for generic corporate recruiting or priced so high that only big companies could afford them.
LinkedIn Recruiter costs thousands per seat. Most "talent intelligence" platforms are just LinkedIn wrappers with a nicer UI. And none of them really understand engineering roles, tech stacks, or what actually matters when you're hiring developers.
So I built Candyfloss. A search engine over 205M+ professional profiles, designed from scratch for technical recruiting. With real data like GitHub contributions, salary estimates, and job change predictions. At a price that doesn't make you question your life choices.
What We Believe
Engineering hiring needs purpose-built tools
Generic recruiting platforms treat a senior React engineer and a marketing manager the same way. That's broken. You need tools that understand tech stacks, open source contributions, and what "senior" actually means in engineering.
Data should be transparent
We show you where our data comes from and how fresh it is. No black boxes, no mystery scores. If a salary estimate is based on limited data, we tell you that.
Recruiting shouldn't cost $10K per seat
Most talent platforms are priced for enterprise budgets. We think a solo recruiter or a 5-person startup should have access to the same quality of data. Our Pro plan is $99/month. That's it.
Small team, fast product
We're not a 200-person company with 6 layers of product management. When something is broken, it gets fixed the same day. When you email us, a real person responds.
The Team
Sara Tavares
Founder & Engineer
Background in QA and software engineering across multiple startups. Built Candyfloss because she kept seeing the same hiring problems everywhere and got tired of waiting for someone else to fix them.
